Hosta Assortment/Our plants

The 1001 varieties of Hostas we offer are all container grown and all are for sale at the nursery. We have them ready in alphabetical order to make it easy for you to select them.

It is possible that some varieties will sell out so if you plan to visit us and wish to purchase particular varieties it is advisable to check ahead on availability. Keep in mind that some Hostas will have limited availability. The Hostas on the “extra list” are only available if ordered by mail or in advance of a visit to the nursery.

Our plants are constantly tested for pests and diseases. For the past few years the Hosta world has had to deal with Hosta virus X…this virus makes the plant ugly and gives it a very blotchy appearance. We, and our suppliers, are doing everything we can to maintain clean and healthy stock. Infected plants cannot be cured and need to be destroyed carefully to avoid spreading the virus.
