Terms of sale pots and bare root divisions 2011.

This list is effective from November 2010 and replaces all previous lists.

Our plants

Our goal is to grow true to name Hostas and ready to sell retail. We will not substitute unless you tell us to do so. The Hostas are grown in 11 centimetre (P11) and square-shaped 2 litre pots (C2), the divisions are almost all grown in pot or tray. If varieties are only one year old from tissue culture it will be mentioned.

Ordering

Orders will be taken through the year. We prefer that orders be placed by E-mail. The total order has to be at least 100 pieces. Please order the varieties in P11 in multiples of 10 and the varieties in C2 in multiples of 6. For the bare root divisions there is a minimum of 10 per variety. Some varieties are new or in limited supply, it is advisable to order early. Orders for bare root divisions have to be placed before the 15th of February. We can hold the ordered bare root divisions in our cooler until a convenient time for our customers through the beginning of May.

Delivery

If possible we will deliver your order within a couple of days after confirmation. All prices are quoted exclusive of shipping. Applicable transport costs will be charged to the customer. It is also possible to send the Hostas by post. In this case we can take the plants of the P11 and C2 out of the pots to lower the costs of sending. The costs of sending will be charged to the customer. It is always possible to pick up your order from the nursery, but only after your order is confirmed. Our nursery is located close to the flower auctions of Aalsmeer, Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk and we can deliver the Hostas at one the flower auctions without charging any extra costs.

Prices

All prices are quoted in Euro per plant. Prices are exclusive of VAT. and shipping costs. From our foreign customers within the E.U. we ask a valid VAT number so we do not have to charge the VAT on the invoice. We will verify all VAT numbers before we process your order. It is our obligation to charge the VAT when no VAT number is provided or the VAT number given to us is not valid. If large numbers of particular varieties are needed we are pleased to give a price on request.

Confirmation

A confirmation will be faxed, E-mailed or posted to you as soon as we have processed your order. The availability of a particular variety cannot always be guaranteed until we begin to deliver. Therefore, we may have to cancel some items from your order at a late date.

Conditions

All orders are subject to crop conditions. We have a long growing season and many unforeseen problems can occur which damage crops and thereby reduce the number of plants available. Every effort is made to fulfil orders, but orders are accepted subject to availability and we reserve the right to cancel a portion or all of the order if plants are not available due to causes beyond our control. We shall in no case be liable for any sum greater than the amount originally received for said nursery stock.

Payment

All accounts are due 14 days net from the date of invoice unless it is specifically mentioned otherwise on the invoice. A 1% interest per month will be charged on overdue accounts. Payment can be made to our bank account with the Rabobank (Groene Hart Noord) Teylersplein 2, 2441 LE Nieuwveen.
